This wooden mold makes it easy to make beautiful triangle-shaped onigiri.
The wood absorbs excess water from the rice so you can make delicious onigiri.
And when you use warm rice, the aroma of the Hinoki wood will infuse the rice and make it taste even better.
If you dry it thoroughly, you can use it for decades.

1. Wet the rice ball mold and the bottom board with water to prevent the rice from sticking to the wood.
2. Wipe the water off and put the rice into the mold. The standard amount of rice for one rice ball is 80g of rice.
3. Make sure there is no space between the rice and the mold by holding the rice firmly in place with the rice scoop.
4. Gently press the rice down with both thumbs to remove the mold.
※When you want to have a filling inside of onigiri, fill the mold halfway up with rice, place the filling on top of it and cover with the rest of the rice.
1. Dishwasher: Not recommended.
Be careful not to wash it with detergent or high temperature water as the fragrance of the Hinoki cypress will disappear.
You can wash it with salt or baking soda instead.
After washing, blow off the water and let it dry naturally.
Avoid letting the mold stay for long in water.
